6/19/1995	In an unprecedented move, UP Speaker Dhani Ram Verma adjourns the two-day special session called to prove Mayavati Government's majority in the House. Later, the House gathers, rejects the sine die adjournment and unanimously elects B.R. Verma (BSP) as new presiding officer to conduct the business of the House.
4/1/1985	Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture was established during the 7th Plan period. The Institute started functioning independently since April 1987. The Headquarters of the Institute are located in Chennai with field and farm facilities at Muttukadu and three Research Centres at Kakdwip(West Bengal), Puri(Orissa) and Narakkal (Kerala).

2/13/1997	Deve Gowda, PM, dedicates the Rs. 3200-crore 480 MW Uri hydel project in north Kashmir to the nation.
4/10/1982	Indian National Satellite (INSAT-1A) launched. First operational multi-purpose communication and meteorology satellite procured from U.S.A.(Cape Canaveral).
11/13/1993	The Indian hospital and aviation was operational immediately. The Indian contingent formally took charge of the responsibility of the capital city of Mogadishu.
9/23/1999	India rejects Pakistan's proposal for an international conference on arms control.
